🏘️ East Dallas Spotlight — Junius Heights
If you've never driven through Junius Heights, put it on your list this summer.
It's one of the most distinctive neighborhoods in East Dallas — a historic district where no two houses look the same, the original architecture has been carefully preserved, and neighbors take genuine pride in what they have. We're talking about homes built 100 years ago, some of them massive by any standard — the kind of craftsmanship that simply doesn't get built anymore.
What makes Junius Heights a serious option for buyers is the combination of character and location. You're getting a true single-family home with history and personality, and you're minutes from Downtown, Uptown, and Lower Greenville. That's a trade-off that's hard to find elsewhere in Dallas without heading out to the suburbs.
Price-wise, Junius Heights has consistently traded in the $750K–$1.25M range for larger homes, reflecting both the quality of the housing stock and the sustained demand from buyers who know what they're looking for.
If you've been curious about East Dallas, Junius Heights is usually where the conversation starts.

🌳 Big Dallas News — Klyde Warren Park is Getting a $200M Expansion
Announced June 29, Klyde Warren Park — already one of the most beloved green spaces in downtown Dallas — is getting a major expansion. Here's what's coming:
1.7 additional acres, growing the park from 5.4 to 7.1 acres, extending west toward Field Street
The Jacobs Lawn, a 37,000-square-foot festival lawn for markets, concerts, and community events
A glass-and-steel event pavilion with climate-controlled interior space and outdoor reception areas
A winter ice rink on the outdoor lawn
Construction starts fall 2026, with completion expected late 2028
The same contractor that built the original park deck is handling this expansion. Funding is a combination of the City of Dallas, Dallas County, the Regional Transportation Council, and philanthropic partners.
For anyone living in or eyeing Uptown, the Arts District, or East Dallas — this is the kind of infrastructure investment that reinforces why central Dallas remains one of the most desirable places to live in North Texas.
